Once in a rare while a show comes along that somehow transcends the sum of its parts and creates true magic on the stage.
Jason Langley’s exquisite vision, superb taste and quest for excellence have lovingly fashioned this pastiche…a series of vignettes, each with it’s own style, time and place, like paintings from different eras, into a truly beautiful 80 minutes of poignant, sexy and often hilariously funny entertainment, that cannot fail to touch you.
This is a production created with love, integrity and the desire for excellence.
Coral Drouyn – Stage Whispers
What is special about Langley’s direction, and the choreography which complements it, is the ability to empower audiences to determine their own relationship to Stein’s texts due to this ambiguity – allowing for perhaps an even greater connection, perhaps despite the intended meaning behind her words, again emphasizing the power of language and the human response.
Krystal Holzer – Theatre People
It's the imaginative staging and choreography, together with superb chorus work and eye-catching direction from Jason Langley that really make the show.
Brashly ambitious and sometimes side-splittingly funny, the musical is a worthy tribute to its subject.
Cameron Woodhead – The Age
The short, sharp piece is beautifully constructed and directed by Jason Langley to a poignant conclusion.
Antony Steadman – Theatre Nerd
Like cubism, the essence of Jason Langley’s production is the joy of movement… Loving Repeating is terrific good fun, a night of whirling, giggling sport and saucy indulgence, true to the spirit of Stein’s bubbly-burbling, always effervescent lyricism.
