The Windows Project was a production conceived by Michael Huxley, to be devised by myself and a company of young performers at the Australian Theatre for Young People.
The performers auditioned with an original monologue of their own creation using ‘Windows’ as an inspiration. Their writing was exceptional and their monologues were farmed out to a number of Australian composers and lyricists who then created songs inspired by these monologues.
The actors and I then shaped the resulting songs and some of the source monolgues into what became The Windows Project.
